Z’s first instrument was violin, and their 20-year experience includes a 3-year violin/handbell internship at the Church of the Red Rocks in Sedona, Arizona as well as accompanying their college’s concert choirs. In 2024, Z composed/performed jazz fiddle and contemporary violin parts for two songs in “A Fabulous 50’s Christmas” at Towle Theater (pictured in black).

Z has taught violin lessons on and off since high school, working with ages 8 to 50.
